Mary Grace and Bruce's Ellicott City, Maryland Wedding

While I love creating invitations for all of my couples, I especially love creating them for couples I’ve known for years! I went to France when I was 14 with Mary Grace’s older sister Anne and I’ve loved their family ever since. It was so exciting getting a call from Mary Grace saying she wanted me to create their invitations and I truly loved how they turned out!

Mary Grace and Bruce met in college at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts and wanted to incorporate a painting of a beautiful brick building on campus as well as some of their other favorite things in their invites. So, we decided to go with a wedding crest to really showcase the things that are really important to their relationship. I mean who wouldn’t want some cute coffee mugs and hiking boots on their invites?! Bruce is also a pilot so adding in a plane painting was a necessity. I also gave the couple a print of their crest to hang in their home after the wedding. It’s a great memento of one of the best days of their lives!

Their wedding colors were shades of purple, so I added purple watercolor florals with a pop of green leaves throughout the suite to tie everything together. It created a soft, romantic feel to the invites which is my favorite! Since their ceremony was at St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the reception was at The Elkridge Furnace Inn, I made sure to include all of that info on their Details card to make it clear and easy for their guests. You also can’t forget about the code for a room block as well! That’s what’s so great about a Details card - you can add whatever info you’d like on there and it’s completely customizable to fit your needs.

Congrats Mary Grace and Bruce on a stunning wedding!! I’m so grateful to have been part of your wedding story!
