Elevate Your Stationery With Die Cut Shapes

When it comes to wedding stationery, there are so many ways to customize your paper. From colors to print methods to paper weight but did you also know you can create custom shapes for your paper goods?

If you’ve never heard of die-cutting, it’s a cutting process using a specialized machine to create custom shapes or designs. The die is a customized piece of metal used to cut a specific shape out of the paper — sort of like a cookie cutter!

It can be a really fun and creative way to elevate your stationery and truly make it one of a kind. It is especially great there is an underlying theme to your event!

I’ve recently got to work on a few die-cut projects and wanted to share them with you here:

Celestial Wedding Menus

For this celestial-themed wedding I created these crescent moon-shaped menus that were perfectly printed on pearlescent paper (we upgraded the client’s paper in order to get just the right amount of shine!) But since the paper is smooth I kept the texture of the watercolor paper I used for the original painting to give it more dimension. I used the same fonts as their Save the Dates the couple created as well as the set of rings the bride drew on the back but added in some fun stars as another design element. I am so excited to see these menus on each guest’s plate - the wedding is going to be perfect!

monstera leaf Bridal Shower Invitation

This bride wanted to take her tropical theme to the next level! After discussing her ideas and theme, we decided to create an invitation in the shape of monstera leaf. I was even able to find matching gold paperclips in the same shape for the insert cards! The invites were topped off with a recipe for the bride card, a Display Shower card, and square gift tags with a holepunch at the top for guests to use for their gifts. This was so much fun to create and absolutely love how it fully embodied her theme and aesthetic.

So if you’re someone who is looking for something unique and maybe tired of receiving the same ole invitations in the mail, let’s work together to create something really special!
